Initial Response To Brief

What are your initial thoughts?
I feel this course is going to cause many problems, that will become resolved through me developing and learning new skills, that will improve my future work. The video will also mean that I have to consider many different factors when producing the video as there are many components that will help to create a successful video.

Which skills do you think you will need to develop?
I think my skills will improve in every way, my editing skills will  improve as I only have the bare minimum . My camera skills will develop, this will be due to the different camera shots that I will have to produce throughout the production of the video, the fact that it is a music video also means that I will be filming, unlike my AS editing which consisted of only photos.

What are you looking forward to the most?
I am looking forward to the filming stage of the process, as I feel I will be able to express my emotions, and I will be able to create something of my own in my own unique way. I will also be looking forward to the fun of editing the video, which will also allow me to express my own creativity.

What worries you the most?
My worries are the time restrictions of filming and editing, which could cause me to rush certain areas of the producing stage. I am also worried about complications that could occur within the editing stage, this could be due to the more in-depth need for the editing and more complicated skills I will need to acquire to be able to produce a high level Music Video.

Is there a particular music genre or type video that you like? If so name it, embed the music video from youtube and explain why you like it.



Tinie Tempah with Girls like, is a music video that I for many different reasons. Firstly it is the colours that are used for the video, they are bright and vibrant which compliment the style of music; which is very positive and has a summer vibe.  The video also uses many different camera angles, the first angle that is good is the following track of Tinie Tempah at the start of the video, this a positive part of the angles and editing as it shows the 'star' of the video from the get go.  Another positive part of the editing and camera angles within the video is the various medium shots that quickly cut from one to another, this helps to show various dance moves and emotions within the video.

A promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo video, together with two of the following three options:
- A website homepage for the band;
- A digipak for the album's release;
- A magazine advertisement for the digipak.
